Beef:
We raise Jersey steers for butcher. Beef is ready every 3 months or so. Currently we sell by the quarter and price is based on market value, which is usually under $4 lb. (Seriously, steak, roasts and burger for around $4 per pound, plus it hasn't been given tons of antibiotics or had the corn poured to it!) We don't just give antibiotics as routine management but we will never deny an animal medical attention should it need it.
